Extraction of the Compton Form Factor H from DVCS measurements at Jefferson Lab

چکیده

In the framework of Generalised Parton Distributions, we study the helicitydependent and independent cross sections measured in Hall A and the beam spin asymmetries measured in Hall B at Jefferson Laboratory. We perform a global fit of these data and fits on each kinematical bin. We extract the real and imaginary parts of the Compton Form Factor H under the main hypothesis of dominance of the Generalised Parton Distribution H and twist 2 accuracy. We discuss our results and compare to previous extractions as well as to the VGG model. We pay extra attention to the estimation of errors on the extraction of H.

THE EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL A A fitter code for Deep Virtual Compton Scattering and Generalized Parton Distributions

We have developed a fitting code based on the leading-twist handbag Deep Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) amplitude in order to extract Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) information from DVCS observables in the valence region. In a first stage, with simulations and pseudo-data, we show that the full GPD information can be recovered from experimental data if enough observables are measured....

The Gpd Experimental Program at Jefferson Lab

Recent results on the Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) program at Jefferson Lab (JLab) will be presented. The emphasis will be in the Hall A program aiming at measuring Q−dependences of different terms of the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) cross section. This is a fundamental step before one can extract GPD information from JLab DVCS data. The upcoming program in Hall A, using bo...

Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering at Jefferson Lab, Results and Prospects

The recently developed formalism of “Generalized Parton Distributions” (GPDs) [1–3] showed that information on quark-quark correlations, the transverse quark momentum distribution, and contributions of correlated quark-antiquark pairs (mesons) to the nucleon wave function can be obtained in hard exclusive leptoproduction experiments. GPDs provide a unifying framework for the interpretation of a...

DVCS with CLAS

Generalized parton distributions provide a unifying framework for the interpretation of exclusive reactions at high Q2. The most promising reaction for the investigation of these distributions is the hard production of photons using Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS). This reaction can be accessed experimentally by determining the production asymmetry using polarized electrons on a proton...
